Overview

Shout was founded in 2018, by four friends who shared a love for home‑brewing. They then decided to turn their passion into a small‑batch brewery.

Identity & Ethos: An independent, community‑oriented brewery. They aim to craft “fresh, pure and innovative beers” while supporting local culture, clubs and charities.

What They Offer - Beer, Taproom & Atmosphere

Their venue features an on-site bar and kitchen, and offers beer, food, retail sales, events, and tours. It has space for ~50 patrons.

The brewery is dog and family-friendly, and welcomes walk‑ins (though for larger groups you can book ahead).

Shout’s beer lineup includes a mix of core beers and rotating specials. Some of their well-known beers:

Mullet Pale Ale — their crowd‑favourite pale ale that helped build their reputation.

Keep Newy Weird IPA — a hop‑forward IPA in their regular offering.

Minnow Mid‑Strength Pale Ale — a lighter/ mid‑strength option for a more relaxed drink.

On top of their core range, they frequently release limited‑edition and experimental beers.

The vibe at the taproom is relaxed and communal — rustic-industrial feel, welcoming to locals and visitors, good for casual meetups or a chilled beer with mates.

What Makes Shout Brewing Special

Shout has strong local roots: four mates turned home‑brewing from soccer nights into a full brewery, giving the place a real “from the ground up” community feel.

They balance core beers for consistency (like the Mullet Pale Ale and Keep Newy Weird IPA) with rotating specials and variety — good for both newcomers and seasoned beer lovers.

The taproom setting is friendly, informal, family and dog friendly - accessible to a broad range of people, not just “hard‑core craft‑beer heads.” Shout isn’t just a brewery: it’s a social hub in Islington.
